Baby Baboo

We've been telling Lily about the new baby in Mommy's tummy. She's pretty excited to meet this new baby. She loves babies and has already practiced being a big sister to Miles, the baby boy that I watch at our house a few days a week.

Lily thinks it's a girl baby and has now named it Baby Baboo. I'm not sure if it's a baboon or a nice bamboo plant. But it's quite entertaining and I love how little kids say funny things like this.

Well I'm officially 6 weeks along now and feeling all-day sickness and my clothes are already tighter. I haven't gained any weight yet (yay!) so I'm hoping I don't pack on the 50 pound amount I put on last time with Lily.
Lily showing off her "growing" tummy too.

I'm still currently looking for a nurse midwife. I set an appointment with one for August 11th. I hope she thinks I'm a good candidate for a VBAC!
But either way it's all about a healthy mommy and baby!

Well I brought home an extra souvenir from Denver

Brian and I took a trip to Denver June 12th through the 15th. It was basically to see our favorite show RENT on Broadway. It also ended up being for our 2 year wedding anniversary. It was more of a honeymoon than I got the first time, I was totally psyched. So we high tailed it outta Utah, left sweet Lily at Grammy's house and set out.
On Day 1
We went to the Hammond Candy Factory. It was basically an old fashioned candy factory with free samples and tour. It was pretty interesting. We brought home some lovely sweet treats for the sweet Lily.

Me and Brian all hyped up on sugar

Next we toured the Coors Brewery in Golden, CO. I've been on this tour twice now. This time being the only time I was allowed to drink, so it was pretty nice. It's always informative, but the 3 free beers is always the best part. Not to mention we were still on a sugar high and hungry, the alcohol went straight to our heads. Afterwords we went to the gift shop and quickly found out we spend a lot when we are drunk. Then obviously we were in no condition to drive home, so we walked through downtown, Golden and found this great pizza place, called Anthony's Pizza.

On Day 2
We went to the Ballestreri Vineyards. They give out free tastings of all 25 of their wines. Obviously we were tipsy after this tour also. The way the winemaker described the wines was so vivid, and it was such a correct depiction of each wine. Once again we spent a lot on some great wines.

Afterwards we got ready for Rent, ate dinner at TGI Friday's and made our way to downtown Denver.

When we finally arrived to the Theatre District of Denver, it was the start to an amazing experience. This Theatre District had 14 theatres in a couple block radius. It's unreal how much Denver appreciates this art. The really special thing about seeing this cast of Rent was that two of the original cast-members, who were also in the movie were starring in it, Anthony Rapp who played Mark, and Adam Pascal who played Roger.

We got to our amazing seats in the theatre, we were literally about 10 feet from the stage. Seeing Rent this way was one of the best experiences of my life. Seeing it in the movies is nothing like seeing it live and feeling the amazing energy and effort that goes into making the production amazing. It was a life changing experience, that you just want to memorize in your mind so that you never forget it.
After seeing the show we went out on the street to see if we could get some autographs. Only 2 members of the cast came out. Anthony Rapp who plays Mark, and Nicolette Hart who plays Maureen. So as disappointing as it was that we didn't get to meet more of them. It was still worth it to meet 2 of them.

NO DAY BUT TODAY!!

Day 3
We made our way home. Although we wanted to stay another day, we were missing our little Lily and wanted to see her. We did have an interesting way home . The weather in Denver the entire time was crazy. We actually ended up seeing some tornadoes on the way home and a truck that had tipped over from the heavy wind.

So what is this extra souvenir from Denver?
Well, it turns out we had a little too much fun on our vacatation, we're now pregnant!
Due March 6, 2010!
